Theophostic ® Prayer Ministry
Theo(God) - Phostic(Light)

"The Cincture" winter 2005 letter to Priests featured an article by Dr. Margarett. A. Schlientz after meeting Rev. Curt Frederick, Rev. Rick Abert, S.J. and Bishop Skilba to discuss Theophostic ® Prayer Ministry. In November, the Christmans and the McKillips (See biographical information below) facilitated a Basic TPM Video Workshop to introduce this tool. More than thirty CCR Prayer Ministers attended. TPM by the grace of God releases deep healing of traumatic experiences and lingering effects on present behavior. Follow-up meetings to train form and guide teams for service in the Archdiocese continue with guidance from Marianne F. Skrobiak, MS Psychotherapist and speaker, Recovery Point, S.C., who uses TPM.

Witness from Caye Bartell, who attended TPM follows: "Summer 2004, I received and read "Beyond Tolerable Recovery" the manual for TPM by Dr. Ed Smith. Even though the ministry is Biblically based and invites Jesus to bring His truth into the process of healing childhood beliefs, I was skeptical. I was curious about a method that could release people from past experiences that caused them to live with unwanted painful memories. It seemed a bit scary to place myself in the hands of a facilitator who would guide me through this new process of healing emotional wounds. During the video sessions I could see that this healing ministry worked. Since then, I have been ministered to and have facilitated others through the TPM process. I have had a release from past traumatic experiences and have been freed from the pain of grief over the loss of loved ones."

This divine, powerful and thoroughly biblical approach to pastoral ministry based on Jesus' words, "When the Son of Man sets you free, you will be free indeed!" John 8:36, reveals truth and frees an individual of childhood beliefs which dominate thinking, emotions and behavior. God sets people free from lifelong fears, shame, false guilt, and anxiety, lifting dark clouds of depression. Theophostic prayer ministers come alongside Jesus. Participating with Him we wait allowing Jesus to illuminate darkened areas of the mind and bring divine truth into life experiences. His personalized word expedites healing. It's simple, biblical, effective and efficient!

Over 15,000 therapists, counselors, pastors and lay ministers worldwide use TPM. Good counseling may open necessary insights, but emotional pain often remains. Logic and reason will not release pain carried in our wounds. Cognitive approaches require self-effort toward freedom with little lasting results often increasing frustration and disillusionment. Confession may relieve sinful guilt, but not pain. Jesus is the key to emotional freedom. Only Jesus sets us free from false beliefs. We must be "renewed in our minds" at experiential levels. Returning to original memory events where childhood beliefs became embedded releases emotional pain and brings authentic, permanent healing.

Put on the mind of Christ and His perspective! From this frame of reference, the "Peace of Christ" and His truth "rule in our hearts". Col 3:15
